Buildings are moving from a traditional era to a modern era by prefabrication of the material to secure, simplify and save money.
RENOVATING THE SEALING OF YOUR FLAT ROOF
Infiltrations, leaks ... Some people who have built a new house with flat roof sometimes complain of unpleasant disadvantages in terms of waterproofing. The main cause of worries with roof-terraces? The quality of the welding of the bitumen material on site, which weakens the tightness of the flat roof.
However, there is a way to ensure a perfect waterproofing of the roof terrace.
Flexirub offers you a secure solution under Technical AdviceReview technique and totally prefabricated in our factory therefore no welding on the site.Tightness of a flat roof made of EPDM 3D

SIMPLIFICATION OF MEASUREMENT WITH THE LASER
SERENITY IN MEASUREMENT
Thanks to the LEICA Disto S910 laser, the dimensions of the roof are recorded in 3D. The survey takes into account the angles, distances and heights of the roof, so the dimensions of the roof are perfectly transcribed. In addition, the laser takes a picture of each raised point, which allows the design office to check each point in case of doubt. Finally, the entire measurement takes place to a single person in record time.DIGITAL FORMAT RECORDED
The datas are stored in the laser memory as 3D dxf files. Using a USB cable, the datas are then transferred to a computer and sent to the Flexirub design office.SOME SPECIFICATIONS ABOUT THE USE OF THE LASER
The laser is fixed on a tripod and then installed in the middle of the area to be lifted, the operator then targets the significant points of the roof. If the laser point is not visible due to too brightness, the operator uses the digital viewfinder that appears on the screen or moves to check the sight before recording.THE ADVANTAGES OF THE LASER
- Rapidity of measurements, to one person
- Accuracy and quality of the survey
- Prevents measurement errors manually
- A single file (points and photos)
- Possibility of using the laser for other applications (distance-meter, calculation of surface, computation of slope ...)

The advantages of welding by hot vulcanisation
In order to provide you with a perfectly waterproof membrane all the welding is done in the factory by hot vulcanisation. Manufacture by hot vulcanisation is the most qualitative technology for producing a weld between two elastomers.
To produce a perfectly watertight pre-fabricated waterproofing membrane we weld several EPDM panels to each other by vulcanisation.
We place two panels one on top of the other and then insert a band of tape (crude EPDM) which will make it possible to perform the vulcanisation by cross-linking (fusion interlinking the material molecules).
The assembly is pressed automatically by a robot to obtain perfect, indestructible and controlled welding, thus creating a perfectly waterproof, ultra-resistant assembly. After vulcanisation the assembly becomes a single, homogeneous material both physically and chemically.- Ultra-resistant, indestructible assemblies
- Perfect waterproofing, 100% guaranteed.
- Perfect homogeneity between the various panels making up the finished product
- Mechanical resistance of the original sheets reinforced by the total cross-linking (fusion) of the material in the welds.
Welding by hot vulcanisation
The 10 stages in the prefabrication of the EPDM 3D membrane
1 Manufacture of the membrane in 2 dimensions
2 Membrane ready for production in 3 dimensions
3 Preparation of the corners
4 Membrane in 3 dimensions awaiting vulcanisation
5 Welding of the corners and details in 3 dimensions by vulcanisation
6 Corners prefabricated in 3 dimensions
7 Finalised piece in 3 dimensions
8 Folding and rolling of the membrane
9 Piece rolled awaiting logistics preparation
10 Finalised pallet ready for shipping
Today flat roof waterproofing is largely carried out with bitumen or synthetic membranes in two dimensions that must be applied directly on the work site.

ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLINESSHow should an EPDM waterproof membrane be fixed or ballasted on a flat roof or a patio roof?
The installation of the EPDM membrane is simple and economical as it requires little labour.
The advantage of EPDM material is that it can be fixed on most supports by bonding or ballasting.Very fast installation in just 3 steps:
Unrolling the membrane
Unfolding the membrane
Positioning and adjustment before fixing
